IMPORTANT

No separate Admit Card will be issued to those who have  already applied for Sindh province Government/ NTS test scheduled to be held on 22nd October, 2017.

MBBS & BDS ADMISSION IN KMDC

ACADEMIC SESSION 2017-2018

 

 

Applications are invited on prescribed form from the eligible candidates (WHO HAVE SECURED 60% MARKS IN SCIENCE PRE MEDICAL GROUP) for the Academic Session 2017-2018. Entrance test forms for MBBS & BDS will be available at Karachi Medical & Dental College, Block – M, North Nazimabad, Karachi, from 06-10-2017 to 14-10-2017. Timing for issuance & submission of form is from Monday to Saturday 9:00 a:m to 1:00 p:m.

 

Rs. 2000/- (Payorder) will be required at the time of submission of form. There is only one form for MBBS & BDS candidates. AT THE TIME OF ISSUANCE OF THE FORM ORIGINAL CNIC/”B” FORM OF THE CANDIDATE WILL BE REQUIRED.

 

Please carefully read the eligibility criteria before filling the application form and submitting the documents. FILLED FORMS WILL NOT BE CHANGED / REFUNDED.

 

Eligibility Criteria for Open Merit & Self Finance:

  1. Candidates who have  passed  Intermediate  (Science)  Pre-Medical    group annual examination 2017 and have secured at least 60%

 

  1. Candidates who have passed 2017 “A” Level & 12th Grade examination (American School) with Biology, Physics/Maths and Chemistry from Karachi Center provided equivalence certificate of unadjusted 60% marks is obtained according to formula laid down by the I.B.C.C, Islamabad. They will also have to obtain equivalence for “O” Level or 10th Grade from I.B.C.C, Islamabad.

 

  1. The equivalence certificate of such candidates will not be accepted if he / she has not studied and passed the subjects of Physics/ Maths, Chemistry and Biology in his / her 11th 12th Grade “O” level & “A” Level examination.

 

  1. Candidates should have passed last two examinations (Matriculation & Intermediate, “O” & “A” Level and 10th & 12th Grade) from Karachi Center / Board. Candidates having passed SSC/HSC (Pre-medical Group) the above mentioned examinations at the centers located outside Pakistan through Federal Board, Islamabad will be accepted.
  2. The candidates who have appeared in the Intermediate Science (Pre-medical Group) examination 2017 for an improvement are eligible to apply only if they have improved the grade / percentage of marks. The proof that effect is mandatory and 5 marks will be deducted for each attempt.

 

  1. Domicile & P.R.C of Karachi.

 

  1. If the   candidate’s   parents   are   Government   employee   and  the candidate has passed his /her any one examination other than Karachi Board  he/she will  be eligible  provided  his/her parent’s  deputation  letter from the respective department’s obtained.

 

  1. Sindh Province Govt/NTS test Schedule on 22nd October, 2017 is valid for admission in KMDC no separate test will be conducted for admission in KMDC.

 

  1. The weightage of marks for determination of merit will be calculated as under:-

 

Entry test 50%     H.S.C. 40%     S.S.C. 10%

 

  1. Candidates will be finally selected after interview by the admission committee of KMDC on the basis of merit list. Candidates are required to produce & submit their original documents at the time of interview.

 

  1. All selected candidates will be examined by a Medical Board of KMDC before depositing fees.

 

Eligibility Criteria for Foreigner / Overseas Pakistanis:

 

  1. Candidates who have passed “A” level /12 Grade or equal examination with Biology, Physics/Maths and Chemistry provided equivalence certificate of unadjusted 60% marks is obtained accord to formula laid down by IBCC, Islamabad they will also have obtain equivalence for “O” or 10 Grade from IBCC Islamabad.

 

  1. Any candidate who holds a foreign passport shall be allowed to apply for admission against the Foreign Students seat quota.

 

  1. If a foreign student holding dual Pakistani and foreign nationality has been studying for his/her pre-medical course in Pakistan, he/she has the choice of applying either as a local or a foreign students. Such dual nationals will be bound to have appeared in the common entry test.

 

  1. If a Foreign Student has been studying abroad, his merit for admission shall be determined on the basis of having secured at least 550 marks in the SAT II test which will include the Subjects of Biology, Chemistry. Physics or Mathematics.

 

  1. Children of Pakistani nationals working overseas will be considered for admission against the Foreign Students Seats only if they have been physically studying abroad. The term” Physically studied abroad” shall apply to those . students also who have studied in Pakistan Institutions affiliated with federal Board.

 

 

  1. The admission for foreign or any other quota seat will be on merit.

 

 

  1. After verification of documents and allocations of seat, bank draft amounting to 12,000 US$ (Twelve Thousand United States Dollars) for Foreigners/Overseas in favour of Karachi Medical & Dental College is to be submitted along with the original documents as fee of first year.     

Note:

 

  1.   The issuance and submission of form is not guarantee for admission   until the final selection of student and submission of original documents with required amount of fee.
  2. National identity card of the candidate form NADRA of Karachi with permanent address of Karachi if he/she is above 18 Years or “B” form he/she is below 18 Years of age is essential.
  3. Father’s Domicile certificate of Karachi and National identity card from NADRA with permanent address of Karachi.
  4. The Domicile certificate of mother (Karachi) shall only be accepted in case where father has expired (No Domicile certificate was issued to him) or there has been remarriage / separation for which a valid document will be needed.
  5. Bank guarantee of one year for MBBS and one year for BDS is mandatory for confirmation of admission on Self finance seats. Otherwise next on merit as per merit list will be offered for admission on Self finance in KMDC.
  6. Sindh Province Govt/NTS test Schedule on 22nd October, 2017 is valid for admission in KMDC no separate test will be conducted for admission in KMDC.
  7. Attested copies of documents will be accepted along with affidavit regarding original documents at the time of submission of form.
  8. Receipts of submitting any pertinent document including domicile P.R.C or CNIC shall not be accepted.
  9. The college does not provide any special preparation and has not authorized any institution for preparatory classes for the test.
  10. Strictly no personal contacts.

                                                                                      

 

Documents to be submitted with application form for categories of Open Merit & Self-Finance (Please arrange documents in following sequence):

 

  1. National identity card of the candidate form NADRA of Karachi with permanent address of Karachi if he/she is above 18 Years or “B” form if he/she is below 18 Years of age is essential.
  2. I.C. of father from NADRA with permanent address of Karachi.
  3. S.C Marks sheet.
  4. Previous H.S.C Mark sheet (In case of improvement).
  5. S.C Mark sheet.
  6. S.C certificate.
  7. Candidate’s Domicile and P.R.C of Karachi.
  8. Father’s Domicile of Karachi.
  9. The domicile certificate of mother (Karachi) shall only be accepted in case where father has expired (No Domicile certificate was issued to him) or there has been remarriage/separation for which a valid document will be needed.
  10. In case candidate has passed any one examination S.S.C / H.S.C other then Karachi board he/she will have to produce deputation letter of the respective department of parents (The condition is applicable for those students whose parents are Govt. Employee).
  11. Acknowledgement receipt of documents submitted in any other institution for the admission purpose.
  12. Six recent passport size photographs. One photo pasted on application form (without attested). Two on admit card (without attestation) and other three photographs attested from the back enclosed with the application form.
  13. Undertaking from candidate regarding original documents on stamp paper dully attested by Oath Commissioner is required with Admission form on stamp paper of Rs. 100.
  14. Two self-addressed envelopes of Pakistan Post with postage stamp.
  15. Receipts of submitting any pertinent document including Domicile, P.R.C or CNIC shall not be accepted.
  16. Attested copies of documents will be accepted.
